America is the land of opportunity. Since we don't manufacture goods anymore...why not pathologize our children?
Mrs. C, I'm sorry. I am of the firm notion that all these new labels given to kids in the last 15 years are no more than dyslexia or learning disabilities of the past, as seen through the eyes of a psychiatrist.
I don't know. Maybe for the milder cases, but I also don't wonder if some of those drifter/ loner types actually just used to have a PLACE. We are also trying to work as a society to educate children who likely wouldn't have gone to school in the past, but they need a "label" to get help. :)
